Insurance / Replacement Value

This appraisal is most commonly used to obtain insurance coverage for loss or damage.

Estate

This appraisal is for documentation and establishing Fair Market Value to determine inheritance taxes and uses comparables to determine the values.  Estate value is a very different value from Insurance Value.

Donation

This appraisal is also a Fair Market Value appraisal and used to determine the tax deductions of items donated to charities.

Damage/Loss

This appraisal estimates the difference of values between a whole undamaged item and the damaged item including recutting and or rebuilding or repairing damaged items such as fine jewelry and or diamonds or gems.  For loss this appraisal estimates value from receipts and/or pictures.
